I can’t help thinking how good Jason would be if he was paired with someone like Oti or Katya who would force him to be amazing. Luba’s great and all but I feel he could be pushed more choreography wise.
Guys this is not Luba’s choreography: salsa is choreographed by pro choreographers... Stop giving her hate, it is not her fault!!!!!!! Only Jannette choreographs salsa routines because she is a pro at it!

Really wasn't a fan of Luba's choreography in this, seemed to be a mish-mash of everything. Bless him, he's a really nice guy but I wasn't feeling this at all, completely flopped all the salsa bits and seemed quite erratic doing the other stuff, like an over-excited child. Noticed Luba's save at the end, nicely done!
@@philipp4850 because Janette is a professional salsa dancer. None of the other pros are trained in salsa, as it is a speciality dance on Strictly and therefore not part of 10 dance traditional ballroom and latin.
Okay granted it was better than last week, but something about the execution of the content felt odd especially towards the end. Once again, I feel like Luba is giving him content that is not fitting his beginning status as a contestant. It wasn't bad, but I feel like the content needs to gel a little bit more. *7*
I honestly think it’s Lubas choreography. It’s just lift after lift and showing herself off. It should’ve the other way around. Show off your partners strengths. Just let the man dance. There was a whole Cuban break section in that music and she totally missed in my opinion

I like this pairing it’s just.....I think Luba makes the choreography a bit more about her skill more then showcasing Jason....just observation but Jason actually seems a really nice guy

After tonight's results show Jamie & Jacqui were in the dance off, the judges chose to save Jamie and Jacqui was eliminated, I would've saved Jamie & Karen. This one was a bit of a no brainer to be honest Jamie did obviously have a bit technical skills than Jacqui and was the overall better couple. Although I have to admit even know she was the least technical celeb this year, her and Anton performed hilarious routines together so I'll give them that! Also can we please let Anton have a another celeb with a bit more potential and technical skills just like with Emma last year!
Hmmm, ok I'd hate to see Luba go out early again...but I'm not sure about this one. I'll give him it definitely is an improvement, but it's still very messy in my opinion. I know the salsa is a party dance, but he still needs to work a lot on his technique. The hip action was barely there. (5) If I had to make a predictions it'll be some combination of him, Jacqui & JJ in the dance off.
Luba's choreo will be the death knell for Jason soon. The guy can move (bar some hip action in need of WD40), but he's being hampered by routines that are hardly the things they're meant to be. His American Smooth last week was wackalicious, and this salsa was barely that. I suspect Luba is a choreographer that creates routines to show herself off first before considering the contestant. Here, you hardly notice anything Jason's doing. I feel a bit sorry for him, and feel if he'd got somebody like Nadiya instead, his dances would be a _lot_ better.
He has great energy and enthusiasm and some of the moves here are really well executed. However there is a lack of technique and fluidity which can give him a bit of a dad dancer vibe. 5
I think Jason has so much potential to do well because he has good musicality. However, something is missing and i still can’t put my finger on it. What was definitely missing from this dance was hip action it was more thrusts than a figure of 8 movement. Hopefully he manages to escape the dance off but I’m not sure he will. 6/10
I feel maybe him and Luba aren't connecting that well, the choreography didn't work very well for him and before seeing this dance I thought this kind of style would be right up his street!
@@SiasCreations i agree - a lot of the choreography for me feels cheesy (the chest thumping etc.). Both dances so far are stuff i felt should have suited him but to no avail. A lot of the choreography this week to me felt like Luba was trying to slightly steal the spotlight with all the tricks

He didn't have no hip action timing was wrong, went on the wrong foot and forgot some steps, the styles wasnt good luba does some out there styles which dont seem to fit the dance at all. kind of looked like a over excited child. but I loved the choreography and energy. Not his best dance. 4
Oh dear he is stompy and flat footed. He's got charisma and stage presence at least. Hip action was hit and miss but the most annoying part was it was lift city, there was a whole section of cuban breaks that she totally missed out by throwing herself across the room. Also the potcircle was her showing off but she fell (that isn't her fault Jason didn't grip her correctly). I think he has potential and it was definitely an improvement on last week. Some of the disco bits he absolutely nailed it but he wasn't as comfortable in the actual Salsa. I think Latin is more his thing but Luba needs to quit showing off and start working with him. We know he's a strong and well built guy but that's not an excuse for constant lifts. *6/10*

I loved their outfits and I absolutely adore this song... but the actual number was quite disappointing. His steps were too big and it was totally lacking hip action (which is so essential in this dance). His smile is infectious, there was a good amount of actual salsa content in this routine, his synchronization with Luba was excellent and his feel for the rhythm was lovely, but the actual footwork was poor. The most important thing in salsa is constantly creating the figure 8 with the hips, and as much as he was in this dance in terms of musicality and performance, it was all on the stumpy side, totally lacking the proper technique of the salsa... and shame on the mistake at the very end. I think ballroom suits Jason better, but is going to to the pasodoble next week, so I really hope that his abilities to work with his hips will be significantly better. My score: a 5.
I really like Luba and I think she's a great dancer but she's covering up his failings. He needs to spend less time stretching and more time of technical work.
Well this was a dance with a lot of passion and enjoyment and I liked it because of that. But it lacked the one thing this needs which is hip action and as such this was not good. I expect to see him do this dance again and not because of good reasons. 6.
Didn't like this at all! Me sat on a coach to the resort, listening to this despicable me tune, getting more and more anxious about going on holiday and people labelling me a party girl Angela when, actually, I was grieving for the departed and quiet girl reserved, and a recluse! Then go to the gym and I turned into Whitney Houston higher love with googling eyes of the gardening staff. I was so scared, I built a barracade behind the room door. I wish the hotel had door jammers. It turned into a traumatic event. I refused to go dancing with Emily 😭
Luba is not a great choreographer, sorry. She needs to keep letting him shine more. And this is the second week in a row where judges have critcised her choreo, she needs to pull herself together
